GÜNGÖR APPOINTED EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTOR OF MALONGO IN TÜRKİYE

22 October 2026

Güngör has announced the signing in Paris of a five-year exclusive distribution agreement with the French coffee producer Malongo for Türkiye. The agreement covers the import, distribution and marketing of Malongo’s coffee machines, 1,2,3 Spresso coffee and tea pods, whole bean and ground coffees and accessories across retail, HORECA and e-commerce channels.

Founded in Nice in 1934 and producing today at its facilities in Carros, Malongo was among the first in the industry to adopt organic farming and fair trade principles. Still a family-owned company, Malongo stands apart for the compostable paper pod system it developed in place of the capsule: a technology that produces no aluminium or plastic waste.

From November 2026 Malongo products will be on sale in Güngör’s Pendik showroom, on Trendyol and at malongoturkiye.com. Malongo service will begin the same month at the group’s own café brand, Piasosta Caffè.

Malongo’s target in Türkiye is not only the venue but the home. With the EOH home machine and 1,2,3 Spresso pods, Malongo offers the consumer who drinks espresso at home an alternative to capsule systems: higher quality, organic and fair trade certified coffee, with no aluminium or plastic waste. Güngör will position Malongo in the upper segment of the at-home coffee category in Türkiye.

Hotels, restaurants and cafés will be offered espresso and tea on Malongo’s EOH and NEOH machines, with filter coffee added on the DUO; for high-volume venues, BEPOD reduces dependence on trained staff and delivers the same quality in every cup. Under the agreement, Güngör holds the right to build a network of dealers and sub-distributors across Türkiye.

Sıdıka Bahadır, CEO of Güngör, commented on the agreement: “Several of the sector’s leading groups were at the table for Malongo’s decision on Türkiye. The choice went our way. There is a single reason for that: we gave a clear answer to the question of who would grow the brand better. The coffee market in Türkiye is growing; on quality and origin, there is a gap. That gap belongs to Malongo. Good coffee is not a privilege, it is everyone’s right. We will take this brand to every point from the home to the hotel, and we will make Türkiye Malongo’s largest market outside Europe.”

Murat Güngör, founder of Güngör, said: “Güngör has been in Istanbul since 1972. In 2024 we rebuilt the company: new brands, new management, a new structure. Today we are Piaggio’s largest dealer in Türkiye, and Piasosta and SIMU are our own brands. Malongo is the third pillar of that structure. A step we are proud of.”

Malongo’s management will be in Istanbul in November for the Türkiye launch.
